Indivisible Virginia 11

Fairfax, VA

Local chapter of Indivisible in Congressional District Virginia-11

We work locally, state wide, and nationally. Our congressional district is fairly progressive and tends to elect progressive candidates so in addition to working to ensure our progressive candidates are elected, we work to ensure the school board and county board vote for progressive causes. We always adopt one or more candidates from other Virginia districts and out of state through postcard writing, phone banking and canvassing when possible. Currently we meet at least quarterly, have speakers and briefings, and keep current in our secret Facebook group.

Fundraising, canvassing and postcard writing for adopted candidates from other districts. Our Congressional District was was safe so we adopted other districts, focusing most of our work on CD-1.

2017 Activities/History

As local districts were safely blue, we focused on a district that could be flipped and needed help. We adopted HD-40 and wrote postcard to voters in that district, participated in fundraisers and phone banking, and canvased for Donte Tanner.
