The Rationale: As an off-cycle election, too many people unaware there’s an election and do not understand the significance of their vote in support of Redistricting.
The Method:
1) Choose a high-traffic corner with a stop light that is 2-3 blocks from an Early Voting Site.
2) Set a time and date: 4pm-5pm on Fri 4/10, Sat 4/11, Fri 4/17, and/or Sat 4/18.
3) Invite a group of trusted participants: Could be 5 or 15 or 20 people.
4) Bring Signs:
★ Go Vote Yes Right NOW5) As a courtesy, you *could* email or phone the police non-emergency number and let them know you plan to be out there. Remember, the sidewalks are a First Amendment space. You do not need a permit to be out there demonstrating.
★ I VOTED Yes. Did YOU?
★ Early Voting is TODAY!
★ Vote YES for Democracy! For Healthcare! To Stop ICE!
★ VOTE YES NOW at (name of polling place)
+ one sign that is an arrow pointing to the polling place.
(Additional participants can bring their favorite No Kings signs.)
Proof of Concept: NoVA Community Action Team did this in September 2025 to boost voter turnout for CD 11’s Special Election. We did it in 3 locations, near 2 Early Voting polling places. At the Visibility Site, participants handed flyers to motorists as they stopped at lights, telling them about the election. Eyes widened, they thanked us, and then they signaled, changed lanes, and went to vote. People working at the polling places reported a surge in voter arrivals during the short window of our visibility events.
The Blitz: We COULD coordinate events near high-density Dem polling stations across the state on the Fridays and Saturdays of those last 2 weeks of voting. These are short actions with very little prep, so a single team COULD have a visibility event at the north end of town at noon and then go do it again in the south part of town in the afternoon near a different polling place.

No KINGS is our opportunity to gather people willing to come out and help with this action 2 weeks later!
