Dear Senator
I am emailing today to ask that you take immediate legislative action to secure abortion rights while Democrats still have control.

Thanks to you, over the past two years, onerous restrictions on abortion have been removed in Virginia. Unfortunately, the Virginia election results dealt a blow to our plans to enshrine the promises of Roe into law and expand access to abortion for Virginians during the 2022 legislative session. Now, all progress is at risk.

I was distressed reading the article in This morning's New York Times, which suggests that Democrats are not going to act on this. I ask you to please work with the House of Delegates to utilize the current special session to ensure that Governor Youngkin, Attorney General Miyares, executive agencies and local governments can take no action that impedes the ability of a woman to terminate a pregnancy.

Thank you for taking bold action now to protect women's reproductive rights.
