1/29/23 Update:

This bill will soon up for a vote in the State Senate.

Mental Health resources do not meet the growing need in our public schools.

Vote Yes to increase mental health resources in public schools.

BACKGROUND

The pandemic has caused greater anxiety and even mental illness in some of our children.

The loss of loved ones, required remote learning, isolation, and return to school are among the stressors that are causing a mental health crisis in our schools, according to the Joint Legislative Audit and Review Commission of the General Assembly. They quantified the problem and recommended substantially more attention and resources for mental health in public schools to address this problem, which these bills will do.
