Emerge Virginia

In 2017, Emerge alumnae candidates made history in the House of Delegates; one alumna is one of two of the first Asian-American women elected to the HoD; the first two Latinas elected to the HoD are Emerge alumnae; the first open lesbian elected to the HoD is an Emerge alumnae and the first openly transgender person elected to a state legislature is an Emerge alumna. In total, 24 Emerge alumnae now serve in elected office The alumnae hail from every corner of Virginia 54% of the alumnae are women of color Emerge Virginia is a 527 Political Action Committee and contributions are not tax deductible Emerge Virginia does not endorse or contribute to candidates
